This spring 2019 WBSI will begin its sixth year of the Buddy Ball program for children with special needs.
About Buddy Ball
The Bambino Buddy Ball Division was established by Babe Ruth Baseball as a program for children with special needs. The most fundamental goal of Buddy Ball is to give everyone a chance to play, regardless of disability. Buddy Ball features volunteer “buddies” who help by assisting the players when needed. Today, more than 30,000 players participate in a Buddy Ball-type league nationwide.
Children and adults with disabilities from the ages of 5-20, are eligible to participate.
There will be one Buddy Ball game per week, on a weekend day, from April through June. No practices, just pregame warm-up.
