WARREN BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
ANNUAL PUBLIC MEETING
November 14th, 8:00 p.m.
Warren Township Municipal Building
Warren, NJ 07059
Dear WBSI Baseball and Softball families and friends,
Did you know WBSI hosted a 2018 spring recreation season for over 440 number of children from the community across 11 different baseball and softball divisions? The spring season kicked off with an Opening Day ceremony where the children proudly marched in uniform with their respective team down Bardy Road led by the Community Fire Company fire trucks, firefighters, and local police. At the end of the season, WBSI hosted a Field Day where the children received their trophies, played their final games, followed up by a free hot dog/hamburger and a drink. In addition, WBSI provided travel baseball and softball programs Spring through Fall. It’s been a great year.
Please join the Warren Baseball and Softball Inc. (“WBSI”) board of trustees for the annual open public meeting, where WBSI will provide further details on these and other program accomplishments and share priorities for the upcoming year. In addition, all public attendees will have the opportunity to share their insight about the WBSI baseball and softball programs and ideas on how WBSI can enhance the experience it provides to our community’s young baseball and softball players.
As you are aware, WBSI is a volunteer run program. The volunteers partner together to provide a place to play ball and to organize such events like the Opening Day ceremony and Field Day. WBSI would like to give special thanks to those who have coached or helped in other ways that assisted in our mission to provide a great baseball and softball experience for the young players in our community. WBSI baseball and softball would not be successful if not for the time which is volunteered by many of you each season.
There are many ways to give back to your community by volunteering, but if you feel youth baseball and/or softball is your niche, please join this public meeting and when the agenda is open, raise your hand to let the WBSI Trustees know your interest in joining the group.
Currently, WBSI consists of 7 board members and needs assistance in its ability to continue offering a successful program. What can you do to help through the recreation season besides being a coach?
Be the Photo Day coordinator;
Become a Commissioner of a baseball or softball division;
Organize the uniform orders;
Order the trophies that will be passed out at the end of the season;
Be the Sponsorship Coordinator that helps identify local sponsors for the teams.
If you have any questions about what volunteering for WBSI entails, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This email has been distributed to families who have played WBSI baseball or softball in the past. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone that may not be a part of this distribution but may be interested in learning more about WBSI.
We can only get better with your support, feedback, and volunteerism. We look forward to seeing you!
